MIKA HAYASHI EBBESEN "AUDITORY HALLUCINATIONS & VOICES WITHOUT BODIES"
An exploration of contemporary voice politics through a considered acknowledgement of corporeal-vocal separation in human identity attribution. Questioning the shape of silence in future landscapes of bio-capital extraction. Mika Hayashi Ebbesen is a London based artist, musician, performer & writer. They have adopted the pseudonym Mikatsiu for all sound related creations.
Nocturne II This second nocturne will be an early-phase thinking platform for near future dances, where the noise body, though huge, still takes baby steps and stumbles over fragments of my exploded personal archive. I will be navigating through glitched and fragmented moves that use noise markers in order to orient in this augmented complexity of virtuosic relations. Contaminated with ballet technique at an early age in freshly post-communist Romania, Sergiu is looking now for a new virtuosity, learning from the machines, scrambling fragments of history, skipping and swiping through archives – both personal or belonging to Western dance history. He likes playing with language in the form of performative texts, choreographing meaning and ideas, flirting with poetry and theory, with a pinch of visceral filth and groovy noises in there too.
In their new work in progress ‘yew’, Angela and Jared are enhancing their relationship with the plant world; a realm that communicates through emotion amongst other ways as opposed to human head logic. this evening´s experiment will focus on their intuitive and „naive“ sound and breath work, which they found themselves „doing“ while meeting plant-nature.

Since 2009 Jared Gradinger and Angela Schubot are creating experimental dance performances, that always search for a physical embodiment of fundamental philosophical and spiritual questions. Without wanting to give answers, they try to get another glimpse of: how else can we co-exist with the other.
